U.S Soldier Under Investigation After Posting Video On Facebook Taunting Iraqi Kids
Published on May 28, 2010
The Army is investigating a soldier who posted a video on Facebook taunting Iraqi children, asking if they're gay and if they're going to "grow up to be a terrorist." The 30-second video was posted by Fort Wainwright, Alaska-based Spec. Robert Rodriguez. It's unclear if he shot the clip or just posted it, officials said. "The incident is currently under investigation, and the Army will take appropriate action based on the findings of the investigation," Army spokesman Maj. Bill Coppernoll said. He called the video "disgraceful and clearly inconsistent" with U.S. military standards.
