First-degree murder charges have been filed Friday against an 18-year-old jailed in the stabbing death of 4-year-old Dakota Lane, District Attorney Larry Moore said.
"The evidence that I've been given indicates it qualifies ... if it does, I'll be requesting the death penalty," Moore said.
A judge ordered the suspect, Aaron Michael Laconsello of Tahlequah, be held without bond Wednesday.
A medical report stated the boy was stabbed 36 times, said Moore. Police said the weapon was a pair of scissors found in the home.
