The husband, Sean P. Quail, was charged with three counts each of reckless endangerment and third-degree assault, as well as carrying a dangerous instrument and breach of peace, in Tuesday's incident. Quail and wife were leaving the courthouse at the time. Christy Quail had been scheduled to appear in court Tuesday on a sixth-degree larceny charge in the alleged beer theft. Christy Quail was charged Aug. 6 after she was captured on video surveillance getting beer from Thornton, police said. She was recorded by a private investigator who was hired by Hartford Distributors to follow Thornton after he was suspected of stealing from the company. Thornton shot eight coworkers to death before turning the gun on himself at Hartford Distributors on Aug. 3 after he was confronted with video of him stealing.
